Taxonomy
Desmoceras affine was named by Whiteaves (1892). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Beudanticeras affine by Warren (1947); it was recombined as Grantziceras affine by Jones (1967), Nagy (1970) and Alabushev (1995).
