Taxonomy
Lytoceras (Gaudryceras) texanum was named by Anderson (1958). Its type specimen is CAS 1345.01, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS 465, Texas Springs, which is in a Turonian marine siliciclastic in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.
