Taxonomy
Ammonites raquinianus was named by d'Orbigny (1845). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R01463 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Catacoeloceras raquinianum by Guex (1972), Schulbert (2001), Delsate and Weis (2010).
