Taxonomy
Rhynchonella durangensis was named by Imlay (1940). Its type specimen is UMMP 20947, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 9697-Eastern Durango, which is in the Berriasian of shale the Carbonera Formation Mexico.
