Taxonomy
Cirpa langi was named by Ager (1958). Its type specimen is BMNH B.33542, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shipton Long Lane, near Bothenhampton (Marlstone bed), which is in a Spinatum marine horizon in the United Kingdom.
