Taxonomy
Iniskinites evolutus was named by Parent (1998). Its type specimen is LPB 229, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chacay Melehué, bed 0, which is in a Bathonian deep-water shale in the Los Molles Formation of Argentina.
