Taxonomy
Angeloteuthis michael was named by Lang (1928). Its type specimen is BMNH C.28981, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bed 119, Belemnite Shales, Golden Cap, which is in an Ibex offshore shale in the Belemnite Marls Formation of the United Kingdom.
