Taxonomy
Nautilus heterophyllus was named by Hauer (1849). It is the type species of Juvavionautilus.

It was recombined as Juvavionautilus heterophyllus by von Mojsisovics (1902), Schastlivtseva (1988), Tongtherm et al. (2016).
