Pectinites textorius was named by Schlotheim (1820). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Chlamys textorius by Dechaseaux (1936); it was recombined as Chlamys (Chlamys) textoria by Romanov (1985), Aberhan (1998); it was recombined as Chlamys textoria by Damborenea (2002), Scholz et al. (2008).
