Taxonomy
Rhynchonella hampenensis was named by Buckman (1886). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Notgrove station, Naunton, which is in a Bajocian marine horizon in the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Kallirhynchia hampenensis by Alméras (1970); it was recombined as Rhactorhynchia hampenensis by Shi and Grant (1993).
