Synaptichnium pseudosuchoides
Taxonomy
Synaptichnium pseudosuchoides was named by Nopcsa (1923). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Stradsfield Quarry, near Brewood, which is in an Anisian terrestrial horizon in the Bromsgrove Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Synaptichnium.
It was recombined as Chirotherium pseudosuchoides by Haubold (1969) and Sarjeant (1975).
