Marklandella markesi
Taxonomy
Marklandella markesi was named by Baarli (1988) [= 1987 Marklandella sp.; Baarli, fig. 6f, h.]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Leangbukta, 40 meters above base of member, which is in an Aeronian marine mudstone/sandstone in the Solvik Formation of Norway.

B. G. Baarli 1988 | Planoconvex and subcircular with fine multicostellae. Adductor scars of pedicle valve visible and not enclosed by the diductor scars. Brachiophores small, slender, and very divergent. No socket pads. Dorsal muscle scars very faintly or not impressed, with posterior muscle scars smaller than anterior. Costellae impressed over the entire interior of the valve. |
