Luolishaniidae was named by Hou and Bergstrom (1995). It is not extant. Its type is Luolishania.
It was assigned to Xenusia by García-bellido et al. (2013); to Onychophora by Smith and Ortega-Hernández (2014), Yang et al. (2015); and to Hallucishaniids by Smith and Caron (2015).
