Nervostrophia solida was named by Cooper and Dutro (1982) [= Nervostrophia thomasi Stainbrook 1948. p. 772. pI. 1 f. 1 (not fig. 2)]. Its type specimen is USNM 200543c, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.
