Taxonomy
Cyclospira longa was named by Cooper (1956) [Cyclospira? longa]. Its type specimen is USNM 111390, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Near Albany, which is in a Trentonian carbonate conglomerate/limestone in the Rysedorf Formation of New York.
It was recombined as Idiospira longa by Candela and Harper (2014).
