Taxonomy
Nerepisacanthus denisoni was named by Burrow (2011). Its type specimen is ROM125 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cunningham Creek [Cunningham Creek Fm], which is in a Pridoli marine shale in the Cunningham Creek Formation of Canada.
