Taxonomy
Sowerbyella intricata was named by Nikiforova (1978) [= 1955 Sowerbyella aff. sericea (Sowerby); Borissiak: 47, pl. 5, figs 1–7.]. Its type specimen is CNIGR 25/10532 (dorsal valve) and is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Sowerbyella (Sowerbyella) intricata by Popov and Cocks (2014).
