Taxonomy
Enallothecidea was named by Baker (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: J Aale J Oxfo-m Sepkoski's reference number: 881,1066]. Its type is Thecidium pygmaeum. It is the type genus of Enallothecideinae.

It was assigned to Thecideida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Enallothecideinae by Williams et al. (2006).
