Leangella (Leptestiina) derfelensis oepiki

Taxonomy
Sampo opiki was named by Whittington (1938) [Sampo öpiki Lectotype (originally registered BU 319) selected by Cocks (2008, p. 84)]. Its type specimen is BIRUG BU 245, a valve (ventral valve internal mould), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is old quarry 400 m E of an ancient hillfort at Bryngwyn Hill, which is in a Longvillian/Woolstonian carbonate horizon in the Gaer Fawr Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was corrected as Sampo oepiki by Williams (1955); it was recombined as Leptestiina oepiki by Williams (1963); it was recombined as Leangella (Leptestiina) oepiki by Cocks and Rong (1989); it was recombined as Leangella (Leptestiina) derfelensis oepiki by Cocks (2010).
