Platymena plana
Taxonomy
Platymena plana was named by Cooper (1956). Its type specimen is USNM 117759b and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 100 yards south of the Negro Cemetery, ½ mile northeast of Friendsville, Concord, which is in a Chazyan carbonate limestone in the Arline Formation of Tennessee. It is the type species of Platymena.
