Alligatorellus beaumonti bavaricus
Taxonomy
Alligatorellus beaumonti bavaricus was named by Wellnhofer (1971). Its type specimen is BSP 1937 I 26, a skeleton (Complete articulated skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Eichstätt [Solnhofener Plattenkalk], which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofener Plattenkalk Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Alligatorellus bavaricus by Tennant and Mannion (2014), Tennant et al. (2016).
