Alligatorellus bavaricus
Taxonomy
Alligatorellus bavaricus was named by Tennant and Mannion (2014). Its type specimen is BSPG 1937 I 26, a skeleton (Complete articulated skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Eichstätt [Solnhofener Plattenkalk], which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofener Plattenkalk Formation of Germany.
