Dinorthis occidentalis

Rhynchonellata - Orthida - Plaesiomyidae

Taxonomy
Pionorthis occidentalis was named by Okulitch (1943) [= 1943 Pionorthis cf. carletona (Twenhofel); Okulitch pI. 1. fig. 7.]. Its type specimen is GSC 2043, a valve (dorsal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Dinorthis occidentalis by Jin and Zhan (2001), Jin et al. (2007).
