Taxonomy
Ringsteadia marstonensis was named by Salfeld (1917). Its type specimen is NHM C15427, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is South Marston (Marston Ironstone, BMNH), which is in an Oxfordian carbonate limestone in the Ampthill Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
