Taxonomy
Microbiplices anglicus was named by Arkell (1947). Its type specimen is BGS GSM30627 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sandsfoot Castle (Sandsfoot Grit, BGS collection), which is in an Oxfordian marine sandstone in the Sandsfoot Formation of the United Kingdom.
