Taxonomy
Aulacostephanus (Pararasenia) subhibridus was named by Mesezhnikov (1984). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 3181/633, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lopsiya River, outcrop 41, bed 2, which is in a Kimmeridgian open shallow subtidal claystone in the Russian Federation.
