Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
C. M. O. Rasmussen et al. 2012Shell medium sized, equibiconvex, transversely semi-oval in outline. Maximum width at hinge-line. Acute cardinal angles. Anterior commissure rectimarginate. Ventral valve weakly convex, with a low, wide, strongly apsacline interarea. Small apical pseudodeltidium and apical foramen present in some specimens. Dorsal valve flat, but weakly concave posteromedianly. Interarea flat, low, wide and orthocline. Chilidium closed by chilidial plates. Ornamentation consists of distinctive, small, closely spaced rugae, interrupted by closely spaced weak costellae and up to sevenmore distinctive costae.

Ventral interior with small teeth supported by short recessive, widely divergent dental plates. Ventral muscle field weakly impressed, but probably bilobed. Median septum lacking, but elevated area bisects the muscle field. Dorsal interior with a cardinal process that may be undercut, however, this is uncertain due to the preservational state of the specimens. Socket ridges long and wide. Median septum with 2 or 3 narrow- angled side septa present.
