A. Williams 1962Pale-brown, subcircular Schizotreta about as wide as long, with the umbo of the subconical pedicle valve, which is almost one-fifth as deep as long, located almost one-third the length of the valve forward of the posterior margin, ventral profile steep and convex posterior to, and gently concave anterior to, the umbo, pedicle slit narrow, over 1 mm. long; brachial valve fiat or gently convex with the umbo located within 1 mm. of the posterior margin; ornamentation of both valves consisting of fine, hair-like, concentric ridges, commonly 13 per millimetre 3 mm. anterior to the ventral umbo, and also up to 8 low corrugations radiating anteriorly from the umbones.
