Taxonomy
Orthis (Plectorthis) duftonensis was named by Reed (1910) [non Orthis (Plectorthis) duftonensis var. Reed 1917, p. 832, pl. v, figs. 40, 41 ; pl. vi, figs. 1, 2.].

It was recombined as Dolerorthis duftonensis by Williams (1962).
