It was recombined as Christiania bilobata by Williams (1962), Candela and Harper (2014).

A. Williams 1962	Elongately quadrate and auriculate Christiania with the anterior and postero-median portions of the valves strongly concavo-convex but flattening out postero-laterally to form a pair of plane triangular areas; ornamentation including well-developed concentric growth-lines and fine radial costellae; dental lamellae narrowly divergent and almost one-third as long as the pedicle valve; dorsal septa straight and subparallel; adductor muscle-scars confined anteriorly by a pair of curved ridges and divided obliquely by a pair of low divergent ridges.
