Williams 1962 | Transversely trigonal Parastrophina over four-fifths as long as wide; young shells gently biconvex and rectimarginate, adult specimens over one-half as thick as wide, wedge-shaped in lateral profile with a deeply uniplicate anterior commissure; ventral sulcus bearing up to 5 low costae with 1 or 2 additional ones commonly developed on the antero-lateral flanks; spondylial septum almost one-third as long as the pedicle valve, cruralial septum shorter, just over one-quarter as long as the brachial valve. |
