Valvata (Tropidina) donghucunensis was named by Pan (1977). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is YH 5033, Donghucun, Lufeng County, which is in a Hettangian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Fengjiahe Formation of China.
