Taxonomy
Nautilus bouchardianus was named by d'Orbigny (1840).

It was recombined as Eutrephoceras bouchardianum by Wiedmann (1960), Shimansky (1975), Wilmsen (2000), Machalski and Wilmsen (2015) and Sharifi et al. (2021).
