Eutrephoceras burundukhajense was named by Shimansky (1975). Its type specimen is PIN 1615/85, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mount Burunduk-Kaya, Crimea, which is in a Danian marine horizon in Ukraine.
