Taxonomy
Nautilus steveni was named by Karakasch (1907). Its type specimen is LGU 103/104, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sablu, Crimea (LGU collection), which is in a Barremian marine horizon in Ukraine.
It was recombined as Eucymatoceras steveni by Shimansky (1975).
