Taxonomy
Arisaigaster was named by Spencer and Wright (1966) [Sepkoski's age data: O Ashg S Ludl Sepkoski's reference number: 2]. It is not extant. Its type is Mesopalaeaster leintwardensis.

It was assigned to Mesopalaeasterinae by Spencer and Wright (1966); and to Pustulosida by Sepkoski (2002).
