Taxonomy

Pachydiscus launayi was named by de Grossouvre (1894). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Voulgézac (Charente), Assise P1, which is in a Campanian carbonate carbonate in France.

It was recombined as Pachydiscus (Pachydiscus) launayi by Kennedy (1986).
