Taxonomy
Anglonautilus mamiyai was named by Matsumoto and Miyauchi (1983). Its type specimen is MNH 147, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Location 4, Kiyohama-II (Orannai), Cape Soya, which is in a Campanian marine siltstone in Japan.
