Taxonomy
Leiodorella was named by Zittel (1878) [Sepkoski's age data: J Oxfo-l J Kimm Sepkoski's reference number: 775,1066]. It is not extant. Its type is Leiodorella expansa. It is the type genus of Leiodorellinae.
It was assigned to Lithistida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Leiodorellinae by Finks et al. (2004).
