Longispina mucronata

Taxonomy
Strophomena mucronata was named by Hall (1843) [Lectotype designated by Racheboeuf & Feldman 1990.]. Its type specimen is AMNH 37246, a valve (pedicle valve), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Chonetes mucronata by Hall (1867) and Walcott (1884); it was recombined as Longispina mucronata by Racheboeuf and Feldman (1990).
