Taxonomy
Oiophyllites decipiens was named by Spath (1953). Its type specimen is BMNH C.22682, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is D.432.2, Lachman Crags South, which is in a Campanian marine siliciclastic in Antarctica. It is the type species of Oiophyllites.
