Kummelonautilus bryani

Taxonomy
Nautilus bryani was named by Gabb (1876) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; Atlantic Coastal Plain.]. Its type specimen is ANSP 16117, a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Eutrephoceras bryani by Grabau and Shimer (1910), Reeside (1924), Miller and Thompson (1933), Miller and Thompson (1935), Stenzel (1940), Stenzel (1942), Miller (1947); it was recombined as Angulithes (Cimomia) bryani by Wiedmann (1960); it was recombined as Kummeloceras bryani by Matsumoto (1983); it was recombined as Kummelonautilus bryani by Matsumoto (1984), Squires (2001).
