Taxonomy
Celox arctica was named by Shimanskiy (1967). Its type specimen is PIN 1896/9, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cape Ptichiy Bazar, Wrangel Island, which is in a Pennsylvanian/Cisuralian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
