Temnocheiloides acanthicus
Taxonomy
Nautilus acanthicus was named by Tzwetaev (1888). Its type specimen is LGU 143/3, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Matkozersky canal, which is in a Myachkovian carbonate limestone in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Temnocheiloides.
It was recombined as Temnocheiloides acanthicus by Shimanskiy (1967).
