Taxonomy
Valhallites boreus was named by Shimanskiy (1967). Its type specimen is PIN 1626/55, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kemyus-Yuryakh River, Verkhoyan, which is in a Moscovian marine horizon in the Ekachanskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
