Taxonomy

Daraelites scotti was named by Miller and Furnish (1940).

It was recombined as Boesites scotti by Nassichuk (1975); it was recombined as Boesites (Eoboesites) scotti by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1978).

Synonyms

Paraprolecanites sandbergeri was named by Plummer and Scott (1937). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UTBEG 153-T-6, San Saba highway, 5.6 km east and 1.4 km south of Rochelle, which is in a Moscovian marine shale in the Smithwick Formation of Texas.

It was replaced with Daraelites scotti by Miller and Furnish (1940).
