Taxonomy
Reticuloceras surenense was named by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1978). Its type specimen is PIN 455/47749, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bol. Karsakly Creek, Mal. Suren' River, Sample 4, Southern Urals, Bashkortostan, which is in a Kinderscoutian offshore shelf carbonate in the Russian Federation.
