Taxonomy
Triboloceras kazakhstanense was named by Shimanskiy (1967). Its type specimen is PIN 1621/2, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kunak-Bay, which is in a Visean marine horizon in Kazakhstan.
