Taxonomy
Nautilus inostranzewi was named by Tzwetaev (1888). Its type specimen is TsGM 143/16, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Matkozersky canal, which is in a Myachkovian carbonate limestone in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Domatoceras inostranzewi by Shimanskiy (1967).
