Taxonomy
Bistrialites bimembris was named by Shimanskiy (1967). Its type specimen is PIN 1513/945, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zhaksy-Kargala river, which is in a Pendleian marine horizon in Kazakhstan.
