Taxonomy
Germanonautilus anceps was named by Sobolev (1989). Its type specimen is IGiG 759/130, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Darka river, lower Lena River (Lower Carnian), which is in a Julian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
